We invite you to visit the multimedia exhibition 'Judita 500' in the newly renovated Old City Hall, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the first edition of the first literary work in Croatian, the epic poem Judita by Marko Marulić. The exhibition is prepared by the Split City Museum in cooperation with the Marulianum Center and Marko Marulić City Library.
The authors of the exhibition are the curators of the Museum of the City of Split, Darka Perko Kerum and Marija Plazibat, the designer of the exhibition is Nikolina Jelavić Mitrović, and the expert associates of Judita 500 are Branka Brekalo and Dina Vuletin Borčić. The author of the most exhibition texts is Bratislava Lučina PhD from Marulianum, and Branko Jozić MSc. Who, in addition to his advisory role, also prepared a bibliography of Judita. The author of the illustrations is Milan Trenc, who drew them based on drawings from Judita. Ana Šimić PhD., who wrote about ‘začinjavci’ (writers of early Croatian religious poetry), and friar Domagoj Runje, who is the author of texts about Judith in the bible, also contributed to the preparation of the exhibition. Up to 25 people can visit the Old City Hall at the same time. The exhibition can be visited, starting today, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, i.e. on weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm. The exhibition runs until October 4, 2021.
